About us: The Church of Our Saviour Australia

and The Church of Our Saviour Charitable Trust

The Church of Our Saviour Australia is an independent denomination founded on the teachings of the Balance of Nature Creed and the belief in universal Divine spirits that are known from the primitive times of Christ and throughout history of humankind as God and Satan.

The Balance of Nature Creed teaches us that for all things of nature and for all things within the universe to exist there must be a balance throughout the cycle of life. In the cycle of nature and within the universe, for each positive natural occurrence there will be a negative natural occurrence. It is these positive and negative occurrences that maintain a balanced foundation for life to exist.

The Balance of Nature Creed is believed to have a heritage that dates back before the birth of Christ. Although making reference in scientific terms, Ancient Greek historian Herodotus (484 BC to 425 BC) showed the first signs in explaining the balance of nature by describing the relationship between predator and prey species. He commented on how they were in an essentially static balance, with predators never excessively consuming their prey populations. Over time it is his initial theory that has evolved and grown in acceptance to form the basis of both scientific and religious beliefs. [Read an article on the Balance of Nature Creed]

We believe in the ultimate rule that God is the founder of creation. Creation of nature occurred through the accumulation of gas, particles and other matter. As set out in the creeds, God and Satan form the respective positive and negative divine guidance over the Balance of Nature. The term "Our Saviour" is used to describe the divine spirits and their constant guidance to maintain the balance within life and our existence.

People have argued throughout time over the reason for our existence with many explanations and theories being offered. We make no acceptance or objection to those theories except that we are clearly involved in some larger plan and we are part of life’s balance.

God & Satan

God will always be seen as the infinite supernatural being that holds the principles and powers of creation. We will not try to offer any further explanation to the origins of God as we believe that his existence is beyond human comprehension, and that acceptance of God as a supernatural being is the most important aspect to our understanding.

Many believe that Satan was a creation of God. There are passages contained in Ezekiel 28 (TNIV) that refers to a "king of Tyre" which is believed to be reference to Satan. In Ezekiel 28:12 to 28:14, God makes the statements "You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and exquisite in beauty" and "You were anointed as a cherub, for so I ordained you". Satan was a "cherub" or "chosen one" who God appointed as a fellow guardian of high rank to help watch over all creations.

It is a common belief that God commenced our existence and then called upon Satan to assist with the control and balance of life. As time went by the two had a different view on how to give guidance to all life forms. God maintained love and reward was essential, with life forms reacting positively to these methods. Satan on the other hand believed that punishment and suffering made for a more efficient form of learning and a better way of guiding us. It is also believed that Satan's ego was also a contributing factor to their falling out as Ezekiel 28:17 refers "Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendour."

God and Satan separated control over their differences and each held a group of supporting subordinate spirits to help maintain their respective control and methods. God called upon a group of "Angels" to help maintain control and the positive balance against Satan, his "Demons" and the negative occurrences to life.

Jesus Christ and The Bible

The story of Jesus Christ is very significant in religion and other religious beliefs. We respect the importance of the role that Jesus Christ played in the development of human kind. Jesus Christ can also be defined as one of Our Saviours. He possibly saved humanity from choosing the wrong path by the promotion of religion.

However it is important that we clarify that Jesus Christ is not our sole belief. As we mentioned he played a significant role in humanity but the Balance of Nature Creed and the belief in God and subsequently Satan, is the foundation to our beliefs.

We celebrate Christmas and Easter out of support, respect and appreciation for what Jesus Christ did and the importance he played in our development. It is also a time for remembering the importance of love for our family and fellow beings.

The Bible is the promotion of religion. While it can help in our finding of religion, developing a religious belief from within yourself is more important than following bible readings as if they were a sense of duty. There are arguments that the story of the Bible could have possibly been misinterpreted over the years but its importance to some in finding religion is more significant than the validation of fact.

For those interested in the teachings of The Bible we recommend Today's New International Version (TNIV) New Testament. We love to see people read the Bible but remember it is not essential to living your life.

Final Comments

We are sure there will be many who disagree with our beliefs, possibly even being offended by what we have just written. However it is important to remember that everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and that acceptance of others is essential to our existence. We are always accepting of other people’s beliefs and are open to discussion. Never judge a person on your own beliefs, never force them to follow your own beliefs and accept them for who they are.
